Framed: 19 1/2 x 24 x 2 inches.Minor deposits of surface dirt and dust; canvas is lined; passages of the canvas have been pressed due to the lining process; areas of stable craquelures scattered throughout; instances of small spots of inpainting visible under raking light scattered throughout. Under UV light: possible inpainting throughout the sky, although some fluorescence may be a result of the original pigments used; smalls spots of inpainting within the groom's and horse's face; the thick varnish otherwise prohibits any additional inpainting present.
